I have sent approximately 30 patients in the last year (1991) to Elvira Osthold for orthonyxie treatment. There were several children and many working people amongst them.

With the help of the orthonyxie treatment all patients were be cured. A surgical procedure was not necessary on any of them.

Although the treatment (which is quite time consuming) appears expensive at first glance it is actually a cheap treatment method.

The “usual” treatment of whitlows due to unguis incarnatus is segmental ablation according to Emmert. It is not unusual to be unable to work for 2, 3 or sometimes even 4 weeks.

If you consider the financial implications of the not being able to work for such a long time and the surgical costs, the orthonyxie treatment method appears to be very economical.

Due to the positive experiences I have made so far, I can highly recommend that the orthonyxie treatment be included in the medical aids catalogue. I believe it will be a contributory factor in reducing costs in the health system.
